About Me

I received my ASN and BSN from MSU-Northern and my Masters in Nursing from MSU in Montana, I also began working toward my DNP as well. I began tutoring in 2008 and then began formally teaching nursing both in face to face classes, labs, simulation labs, and clinicals as well as online classrooms in 2009. I found my true love in nursing with teaching. I truly love helping other people understand nursing concepts; I feel that with true understanding of a topic or subject, it gives people a connection to their work and to their patients. I passionately believe that learning should be fun, I have found that most people learn difficult things when it is in a fun environment. No one person learns in any one specific way, I can adapt my tutoring style to fit a learner's individual needs. My interests outside of work include life in the country, our dogs, horses, cats and our one very chatty parrot. I have many different interests both indoors and outdoors.
