About Me

I graduated from Boston University in 2012 with Electrical engineering as my major. However, I knew I also was not finished with my time as a student. I was accepted to graduate school at UCLA with a fellowshipto further my study in engineering. I spent two and a half years there completing my Masters of Science. To pay tuition, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and later a Teaching Associate for the University. Additionally, during High School and college, I spent many summers working as a Sailing Instructor. My last year I was Head Instructor at Rockland Community Sailing. This was especially rewarding for me, because this particular community sail program welcomed children of Youthlinks, a part of Broadreach Family and Community Services, aimed at serving underprivileged kids in the area. This program, and it's connection to us, allowed children who otherwise would have never have had a chance to step foot on a boat, the opportunity to learn how to sail and have an amazing summer. After that summer, I knew I wanted to get involved helping students who do not grow up with the same privileges that I did.
