I am a graduate of Brown University, where I earned my B.A. in Literary Arts and Visual Arts, taking courses in a wide array of subjects ranging from contemporary American fiction to ancient Indian classics. My first teaching experience came in college when I had the privilege of creating and teaching a series of literature courses at a local community center. There are few experiences I find more enriching than facilitating a meaningful dialogue centered around great works of literature and art. While literature and art are my passion, I also tutor in variety of other subjects, including math, science, and test preparation. I currently work as a lead teacher in the after-school program at Archway Classical Academy in Phoenix.

I'm a big Boston Celtics fan and I speak three languages. I can get you the test results you need to succeed because I went through the exams myself and performed well. The first time I took the SAT I actually wasn't satisfied with my score, so I spent 2 months working hard to get my score to where I wanted it to be. The second time I took the exam I saw a 200-point increase. Previously, I have had experience teaching the SSAT and the SAT. The student I tutored in SSAT successfully passed the exam is now attending a private high school abroad. I am a pre-Occupational Therapy student majoring in psychology with minors in neuroscience and art. I will be graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May, and I will begin Washington University School of Medicine's Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program this Fall. My academic pursuits have made me confident in my abilities to tutor those pursing degrees in social sciences along with those pursuing careers in health care. I am from Tulsa, OK and came to Boston for college. I studied Biomedical Engineering at both Boston University during undergrad and Tufts University for my masters. After much thought, I deviated from a medical school track to pursue a career in the medical device industry. My love for math and science started around middle school, and I was strongly influenced by my teachers. Through tutoring, I hope to be a similar influence. I really enjoy working with students of all ages (elementary to grads!) In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and volunteering at the Animal Rescue League in Boston.

I am a patient teacher who can explain problems in many different ways according to how individual students learn best. I only ask that you know and explain to me what topics you do not know or get so far. I know that every student can learn a subject with a combination of practice and patience, but I insist upon consistent effort and sessions. As an educator I do not support last minute cramming as the primary learning method of content for students as it does not lead to retention of material, mastery of larger themes, or the ability to differentiate between subtle differences when problem-solving on tests and exams. I will help my clients when they need extra sessions before Final Exams and AP Exams, but those who have been working the hardest throughout the school year to regularly improve will get preference over those students who are panicked at the last minute, but have put off meeting with me.

I am currently a graduate student Johns Hopkins University getting my masters in chemical and biomolecular engineering. I have spent a lot of time around children and I have spent a good amount of time teaching as well. I want all students that I tutor to feel comfortable when I am tutoring them and I believe all students have the ability to improve. I am very comfortable teaching all subjects for grades up to 9th grade and, when dealing with high school courses, I love to tutor most math and science courses including many AP courses. I also have a lot of experience with standardized test prep and love to tutor for that as well.

I'm a passionate teacher and native Arabic speaker. I teach because I love helping others reach their full potential and succeed in their studies. I have been teaching since I was in high school. I majored in Computer Science in college because I enjoy programming and creating creative content online. I have also taught English as a second language for 4 years. I taught TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses, as well as general English and conversation. I have a post graduate degree in eLearning and content development. I use these skills to build online courses and instructional design.

I am a fourth year Medical Student in the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY. This is a seven year BS/MD program, so by the end of the seven years, I will have achieved both degrees. I have a lot of tutoring experience in the K-12 age especially in the 7-12 grade range. I have taught SAT, SHSAT, ACT, SAT subject tests and Regents exams as well. My favorite subject to tutor is math and biology, but I am able to tutor other subject areas like reading, writing, chemistry, and physics. My tutoring style is very student oriented with some lecturing. I make sure that most of the time I am asking questions, even if it is basic, just to get the student to always be on his/her feet. I also make sure to use a lot of diagrams and flow charts when teaching. Outside of school, I spend a lot of time exploring and doing photography. I also love listening to music, watching basketball, and spending time with friends and family.

I am currently a sophomore at Columbia University in the City of New York. I am pursuing a degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in Sustainability and Energy, and I am minoring in East Asian Studies (specifically, Japanese). After graduation, I plan on working in the renewable energy sector in either the United States or Japan.

I am. My mother is a 2nd-grade teacher and my father is a middle school vice principal and that combination of discipline, leadership, and nurturing as a part of the educational experience has been instilled in me from a very young age. As a child, I had to overcome my own personal challenges in order to allow my intellect to shine. I have ADHD and in the elementary grades was labeled a class clown, however, I learned to conquer my learning disability and proceeded to excel. For high school, I attended Wyoming Seminary Upper School, a private boarding school in North East, PA, and my experience and education I received there helped mold me into a conscious global citizen set on making an impact in this world. I am currently an Intervention Specialist, Writer, and Personal Tutor that thoroughly loves helping children, adolescents, and college students master subjects that are challenging to them. As an Intervention Specialist I work in a K-5 school where I work with small groups of students that need additional support in English/Language Arts and Math. Additionally, I especially have a love for literature and reading and have aspirations to become a children's/ young adult author. I am also a published poet and plan on pursuing further publications in the future. The feeling I get when I am able to help build someone's confidence and skills is indescribable. I am a linguistics graduate student at Boston University. I earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Connecticut in Cognitive Science and Linguistics, and have enjoyed tutoring all through my educational career.
