I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. In all subjects, I take a creative, inquiry-based and learner-centered approach, designing opportunities for each unique individual to meet their learning goals.

I'm a recent Duke grad with experience in Resume Writing, Statistics, Mandarin Chinese, Art History, and Math. I'll be available starting in July through August to tutor. In September, I'll be pursuing my Masters Degree in London at the Sotheby's Institute of Art.

I am comfortable tutoring in a variety of subjects, particularly at the elementary and middle school level. I am most excited about US history, English, writing, and public speaking. I am deeply passionate about educational equity, and firmly believe that every child has a right to an excellent education. I am a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, with a BA in English Literature, and New York University, with an MA in Arts Administration. I truly enjoy learning so much that Ive studied various subjects at over 10 additional colleges across the United States and Europe, starting in high school! Im also a student of life, attending special seminars (like Landmark and Tony Robbins) whenever I get the chance. Over the past 15 years, Ive had the pleasure of teaching in many different settings. I am a Master of Architecture candidate at Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colgate University. While I tutor several subjects, I am very passionate about mathematics and physics because of the tangible progress which I am able to help students achieve, and I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities. I have been a mathematics and physics tutor for the last eight years and have worked with students enrolled in middle school, high school, and university courses. As a tutor I work to build my students confidence and independence. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing and playing volleyball and tennis.

I am a recent graduate of The Johns Hopkins University where I received a B.S. in Neuroscience and Visual Arts. Currently, I am studying for my Masters in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. I am qualified to tutor many subjects, my favorite subject by far is math, specifically calculus. Math is a subject almost universally hated, and I believe that is mainly due to the narrow way in which it is taught. I have ADHD, and I often don't understand things the first time they are explained to me, meaning over the years I have had to figure out different ways of looking at information. Oftentimes, all a student needs is for something to be explained in a different way, and I love watching people finally understand a concept. Everyone learns differently, but everyone can learn.

I'm a educator and visual artist with many years of experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students. I have a BA in Political Science from New College of Florida and a MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. While I'm a photographer by trade, I also have a passion for and expertise in Math and the Natural Sciences -- as well as French and Spanish, having studied and worked in both Paris and Central America. While I'm proficient now, I struggled with both languages early on, and understand the challenges of both starting a new language and in moving from a conversational to a more proficient level. I'm also available for ACT and SAT test prep -- and work especially well with students who are visual learners (though I have a wide range of materials and resources for all styles of learning!).

I'm a recent graduate from Reed College where I majored in Political science with additional concentrations in environmental science, sociology, philosophy, and 3D art.

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, with degrees in physics, astronomy, and studio art. During my time at university I was a member of the Physic Education Research group, conducting studies into the best methods of math and physics pedagogy. Although I am most accomplished in physical science education, my methods are applicable to all kinds of science. I have also studied history and literature extensively as a matter of personal passion. My goals as a tutor reach beyond simply grasping the material at the level which it is presented--I aim to give students the intellectual and emotional tools to grasp underlying principles of any field, and the confidence to believe that this is something they can achieve under their own power. In my spare time, I write fiction and paint, and I love the outdoors.

I am a practicing painter living and working in Brooklyn. New York. In 2008 I graduated with a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, and received an MFA from New York Studio School in 2011. In 2014 I received a Fulbright Fellowship to Leipzig, Germany, where I lived and painted until earlier this year. I teach art in a college setting as well as at several art centers in the New York area, to students ranging in age and skill level, in a variety of media and techniques.

I'm currently a fourth year medical student. I graduated from UCSD with B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and a minor in Visual Art. I'm very interested in math and science, as can seen with my educational background. Since I'm currently a student myself, I understand the frustration one can experience when faced with some academic challenges. I'm here to help and hopefully find a better way to overcome these challenges.
