Award-Winning IB Tutors serving Bristol, United Kingdom

I am no stranger to people getting tutors in order to succeed. An ambition to accomplish any academic goal was encouraged all my life; thus, I am accustomed to studying hard on top of participating in countless extra-curricular activities. I graduated highs school and received a diploma from the extremely rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and began attending an Ivy League college, the University of Pennsylvania, in 2016. With all this said, I am confident that I will be able to teach clients effective ways to solve any problems they have.

I'm looking forward to helping your student find personal success in their academic lives!
I am now a medical student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
I am a senior Psychology, Spanish, and Religion major, and I have been tutoring for over ten years. I love working with students of all ages, and I have five years of experience working with students with learning differences! I specialize in English literature, writing, learning differences, and Spanish.
I am excited about the opportunity to apply my skills and experience for Varsity Tutors. In addition to my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, I also have six years of experience teaching Spanish to middle school students.
I am a student at Arizona State University and Barrett the Honors College. I am pursuing a degree in chemical engineering and two minors in Spanish and mathematics. I plan on attending medical school upon graduation. I have been a tutor for nearly four years in multiple areas. Primarily, I have tutored mathematics for middle school and high school students. I also have experience in test preparation for the SAT, ACT, IB, AP and Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS). Additionally, I have tutored in multiple sciences, such as physics and biology. I very devoted to education and to intend to see to it that every student has the quality of education that I have been privileged to receive. Outside of school, I spend my free time shopping, trying new restaurants, doing yoga, and spending time with friends.
I'm a educator and visual artist with many years of experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students. I have a BA in Political Science from New College of Florida and a MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. While I'm a photographer by trade, I also have a passion for and expertise in Math and the Natural Sciences -- as well as French and Spanish, having studied and worked in both Paris and Central America. While I'm proficient now, I struggled with both languages early on, and understand the challenges of both starting a new language and in moving from a conversational to a more proficient level. I'm also available for ACT and SAT test prep -- and work especially well with students who are visual learners (though I have a wide range of materials and resources for all styles of learning!).
I'm happy to work with you or your student one on one to help them master whatever subject or problems are giving them trouble.
I have earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biological Sciences and Nursing. As a learner, I have always had an inclination toward math and science. I was introduced to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme when I was in middle school and I took higher level courses from then until the culmination of high school, at which point I received the IB diploma. I have a very strong academic background, despite the fact that I was always a learner who needed plenty of time and effort for things to sink in. Whenever I had trouble with concepts, particularly in the often challenging subjects of math and science, I wouldn't be open about it with my teachers, usually because of the simple fact that I didn't feel comfortable seeking help. For this reason, what's most important to me as a tutor is that any student I'm helping is comfortable enough to have open communication with me about their concerns and sources of confusion. I also find it very useful (and even necessary at times) to break things down to the very basics, in order to build understanding on a secure foundation. I genuinely love to help people understand whatever is in my power to help them understand, and so it comes naturally to me to take the knowledge I struggled to gain and help someone else along their own path towards understanding.
I'm a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, currently working with multiple firms as a professional tutor. I received my Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in theatre and computer science, and I was lucky enough to study a wide array of subjects in addition to my concentrations. From applied physics to linguistics to sociology, I've dipped my toes into subjects across the board.
I am a rising senior at The University of North Texas in Denton. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I was raised in an academically competitive environment in Fort Bend County and my rigorous secondary education prepared me for success in college. I am a fortunate member of the Terry Scholarship Foundation, which has provided me and hundreds of other Texans with a private, four-year, full-ride scholarship. As a Terry Scholar, I am well-versed in all subjects and have taken on the role of mentor to many of the incoming freshmen. I have spent most of my free time in college as a nanny and tutor to families around the DFW area. I have experience with all age groups and there is nothing that intimidates me! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, History, Spanish, and Government/Social Studies. Through my experiences helping struggling students and peers, I have realized the value of adaptability. Most people reach out to a tutor because the traditional classroom method is not best suited for their learning needs. There is nothing more joyful than when a student finally understands the material in a way that makes sense to them. Many times, students need flexibility and patience in order to grasp a foreign concept. I am a firm believer in the power of education and I hope to share my love of learning with all of my students. After graduation I plan on returning to Houston to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching from Rice University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing anything from poetry to screenplays. I have also been involved in competitive dance for most of my adolescence, so I understand the balance of academics and extracurriculars.
I am a passionate academic tutor and content area expert. My objective is to provide students with conceptual knowledge and understanding of the topics, which will allow them to become independent, life-long learners. No matter your current skill level, I can meet you where you are and help you cross your academic finish line!
I am a graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Political Science. I've tutored students through the America Reads/America Counts program in college and as an independent tutor in subjects including essay writing, SAT prep, elementary math, phonics, and English as a second language. My style is to adapt to the needs of students and their personalities rather than prescribe a catch-all approach. Coming from an academically high-pressure background (I am a graduate of an International Baccalaureate program high school), I excel at meeting the needs of students trying to succeed in similar environments.
I am a medical school student of the Class of 2028 at New Jersey Medical School through being accepted
I'm in college right now and I'm studying to be a lawyer. I would love to bring my skills and knowledge to the the table! Being a former IB student myself, I understand the importance of deadlines, dedication, and most importantly, hard work.
I am currently a student at UCF pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Biotechnology. I graduated from Largo High School with my IB diploma, so I have already studied through a college level on most standard subjects. I also have prior experience doing both private paid and volunteer tutoring, so I am familiar with encouraging students to learn and understand new material.
I am a graduate of Wesleyan University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with High Honors. With eight years of experience working in education, I've tutored students in math, science, history, and English, as well as helped students prepare for standardized tests. I've guided adults towards passing the US Citizenship Exam and taught English in India, where I lived for six months. Whenever I work with a student I personalize the lessons to fit their particular learning style, since I know every student is unique and having the right fit can make all the difference in making learning fun and effective. My strengths are tutoring the social sciences and humanities, as well as making math and standardized tests approachable to students that normally don't like those subjects. In my spare time I like traveling, spending time in the outdoors (climbing & backpacking), meditation, and playing soccer. Next fall I will be beginning my PhD in Education at Harvard University.
I am an aspiring applied mathematician, with particular interest in image processing and climate science. I graduated in May 2017 from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor's in physics and mathematics, and am beginning a PhD program in September 2017 at the University of Chicago in Computational and Applied Mathematics. I've tutored introductory physics students for three years and enjoyed it thoroughly, as a chance to help other students while revisiting fundamental concepts to enhance my own knowledge. I'm eager to continue reaching out and helping students of math and physics to succeed and, furthermore, to appreciate the beauty and power of these subjects.
I am a graduate of the University of Chicago where I received my undergraduate degree in political science. Right after graduation, I worked as an academic and test prep tutor as well as admissions consultant in Hong Kong. For the past two years, I worked with a number of students to help prepare them for college in the United States.
I am currently a senior at Harvard College where I study chemistry, and I'll be attending Columbia Medical School next year. I have years of experience tutoring college students in math (mostly calculus) and chemistry including both general and organic chemistry. In addition, I am very familiar with all sections of the SAT and ACT having prepared several high school students for these tests. I believe that every student is capable of boosting his or her baseline score on these tests, so long as he or she works hard to get to know the format of the tests and the most popular types of questions. I tutor because I love seeing students develop a genuine passion for the subjects they once disliked (such as math and science), once they understand the power of these subjects and their applications to the real world.
