I am most passionate about are reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, and phonics and elementary math. I also have experience teaching students how to be more organized and strategies in test taking.

I am most comfortable tutoring include Elementary Reading (comprehension, fluency, decoding, phonics, etc.) and Elementary Math, as I have the most experience teaching and tutoring students in these areas and grade levels (K-6). I have taught in public elementary, middle, and high schools at all grade levels K-12. I have taught in both brick-and-mortar and online settings.

I am a graduate of East Carolina University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. I'm a firm believer that being bilingual has set me up for success in the workplace and all generations should have access to learn even outside the realm of traditional school.

I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Arlington working towards my Masters in Linguistics, which I intend to use to continue teaching English language at a private or public school. I am also employed as a reading comprehension and vocabulary teacher at the Nepali Cultural Center in Irving. I am a certified Reading Specialist and Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Certified Teacher. I am a published Author, Exhibitionist Artist, Community Poet, and Editor. I love to visit museums. I have managed school-based tutoring programs for Reading development and have led schools in reaching state accountability goals. I am passionate about English, and Language Arts, and supporting students with scaffolds as needed to meet a most desirable level of mastery.

I am strongly committed to bringing students to mastery. To accomplish this, I thought it was important that I am trained and educated extensively in this field.
