I am a student at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Currently, I'm studying Engineering while also on a Pre-Med track. I graduated from Millard North Highschool. My favorite subject is math. I enjoy teaching all sorts of math, but I am most passionate about algebra. I do test prep and GED help as well. I firmly believe getting a good education is very important. Sometimes you need some extra help to excel and I'm happy to provide that, as I definitely needed it when I was learning these subjects. Getting the right answer is always important, but I think understanding how you got there is the most integral part. I love working with people to find out how they approach a problem and seeing how they think gives me a better understanding on how to help them. After working with countless high school student, during high school, I know there is no single, definitive way to solve a problem. I encourage kids to come up with there own path towards solving a problem while I guide them along the way. This is my first professional tutoring job and I look forward to finding more ways to help students learn in a manner that they like. Probably my favorite subjects to teach are science and math course, i.e. algebra, chemistry, physics, etc. I love these subjects because they are the fundamentals of the entire universe. Right now, I'm working towards a degree in computer science, but I've thought about switching that over to mathematics-well because I love math. Outside of school subjects; I play video games, do cross country, and like watching documentaries and superhero films.

I have been tutoring all levels of Spanish for over 10 years. I love working with students on an individual basis to help them succeed in their class. I understand that foreign languages don't come easy for everyone. I actually almost failed my first year of Spanish in high school. However, with hard work and persistence, I ended up excelling in my classes and now, more than 15 years later, I am a Spanish translator and interpreter. I know what worked for me when I was struggling, so I like to incorporate those same strategies with other students. I like to use humor and word associations to help students remember things. I get along with any type of personality and have a passion for working with special needs students as well. I have worked with students from age 8 to 68! It is never too early or too late to start learning Spanish. I hope that my passion for the Spanish language will spill over into the lives of my students.

The focus of my studies are German Culture, History, and Language, and on top of that I have 9 years of experience with the language. I am going into my 6th year of teaching 5th grade at Norris Elementary School in Omaha, Ne. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in STEM from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and I received my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University. My favorite subject to teach is mathematics, I love the challenge of problem solving and hearing multiple strategies students have to solving a variety of problems.

I'm lifelong student endeavored in taking every opportunity to learn.I have degrees in Music Theory and Musicology from the University of The Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and The University of Texas at Austin, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.I have been fortunate to teach children, young adults, as well as senior citizens in diverse settings from basic to college levels, and know that anyone can learn anything when one discovers how.
