Develops general employability skills and prepares students for paid or unpaid employment in specific occupations. Students use a Transition Inventory and other assessments to identify job interests, receive classroom training in vocational classes, and participate in volunteer opportunities at various jobsites including: Art With The Heart (arts and crafts on and off campus twice a week), Shoppers Mondawmin (community-based setting for independence and workplace readiness), Rolling Road Country Club (restaurant and hospitality tasks), and Baltimore Museum of Industry (real-world tasks for career readiness).
