SCHEDULE FULL YEAR. For serious art students ONLY, this coursefocuses on craftsmanship and exploring individual ideas andthemes. Students acquire foundational visual literacy skillsthrough observation and perception, creative expression, globalawareness and critical evaluation and response. Using a variety ofmaterials and methods (drawing, painting, printmaking,ceramics, sculpture and digital art) to create original artworks,students become proficient in using the elements of art andprinciples of design. All students construct and compile aportfolio for VASE and other art contests.
