TAP English I

Rigorous preparation for AP curriculum. Reading includes eight to ten major works. Summer reading required.

Instruction accommodated for beginner or intermediate English learners.

English II

Survey course using a thematic approach to various genres. MASTER STAAR EOC skills.

English III

Surveys American literature focusing on literary analysis and historical background.

College-level rhetoric and writing curriculum. Analytic and argumentative essays. Summer reading required.

English III Dual Credit – Composition and Rhetoric

Intensive study of writing processes and research-based texts. Earns 6 college hours.

English IV

Advanced forms of writing and study of British literature. Includes college application essays.

English IV with Texas College Bridge Embedded

Includes Texas College Bridge program for students needing TSI college readiness standards.

AP English IV (AP English Literature and Composition)

College-level literary analysis of imaginative literature. Summer reading required.
