This course is designed for students with littleor no theatre experience, and promotesenjoyment and appreciation for all aspects oftheatre. Classwork focuses on the explorationof theatre literature, performance, historical andcultural connections, and technicalrequirements. Improvisation, creativedramatics, and beginning scene work are usedto introduce students to acting and characterdevelopment. Incorporation of other art forms intheatre also helps students gain appreciationfor other art forms, such as music, dance, andvisual art.
