Students with intermediate-level proficiency instring techniques, music literacy, criticallistening skills, and musicianship study,rehearse, and perform high-quality orchestraliterature. Student musicians strengthen theirreflective, analytical, and problem-solving skillsto self-diagnose solutions to performancechallenges based on their structural, historical,and cultural understanding of the music. Publicperformances may serve as a culmination ofspecific instructional goals. Students may berequired to attend and/or participate inrehearsals and performances outside theschool day to support, extend, and assesslearning in the classroom.Admission is by teacher approval.
