School Orientation courses provide students with an introduction to the culture of their school so that they understand staff expectations and the schools structure and conventions These courses may vary widely according to the philosophy aims and methods of each school

Students will study advanced programming methodology, the features of programming languages, primitive data types, dynamic allocation of memory, data structures, searching, sorting, and numerical algorithms, using the JAVA programming language. Students also are introduced to software engineering concepts and team-oriented approaches for solving problems. Students will explore advanced topics such as concurrency, network programming, and systems programming with C.

The first part of a work-based learning experience which takes place at a work-site and must be a paid experience (at least minimum wage). All three parts of WBL experience must cumulate to a minimum of 450 hours. This experience is directed by the WBL agreement provided by the school system and a student work plan developed among the student WBL coordinator and eligible employer

Students will develop interactive web-based applications using JavaScript. Students will utilize conditionals, loops, functions data structures and graphics to create robust web applications.

This course introduces the basic principles of structured programming using the high level language C++. Topics covered include fundamentals of programming, simple and structured data types, control statements, functions, lists, matrices, string manipulation, file I/O, and recursion. Emphasis is placed on developing effective problem-solving techniques through individual and team projects.

The course provides an engaging introduction to computing concepts. The course focuses on the conceptual ideas of computing so that students understand why tools and languages are used to solve problems through a study of human computer interaction, problem solving, web design, and artificial intelligence.

This is an introductory, college-level business and personal finance course. Students explore the business disciplines of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, and management through real-world business application, case studies and project based learning. In addition, students learn and apply all the National Standards for Personal Financial Education created by the Council for Economic Education and the JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. This specialization is designed for students with basic PC usage skills. It introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. The principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum. This course provides students with hands-on classroom and laboratory work in current and emerging networking technology that emphasizes practical experience. The career-oriented approach to learning networking empowers students to enter employment or further their education and training in the computer-networking field. Also, instruction and training are provided in the proper care, maintenance, and use of networking software, tools, and equipment. A task analysis of current industry standards and occupational analysis was used to develop the content.
