Year/Semester In this immersive course, students take a deeper dive into the world of popular and contemporary music through performance, composition, and digital production. Building on foundational skills, students explore genres such as pop, hip-hop, R&B, electronic music, and indie rock while analyzing song structure and cultural impact. Using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), students gain hands-on experience in recording, sequencing, and mixing music, including MIDI theory, signal flow, and virtual instruments and effects. Through collaborative projects, song writing, and performance, students enhance their musical literacy, creativity, and technical skills in a state-of-the-art production lab. This course fosters critical thinking, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for modern music.
