This year-long, entry level class promotes the enjoyment and appreciation of art as students experiment with the media and techniques used to create two-dimensional (2D) artworks, including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and more. Special Note: This course incorporates hands-on activities and consumption of art materials.

2-D Studio Art II is an intermediate course that advances technical skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage, focusing on refining composition, color theory, and, in some contexts, digital, or, in some contexts, digital media. Students explore advanced design principles, develop personal artistic style, and engage in critiques to analyze, document, and evaluate their own work and that of their peers.
