Prerequisite: Digital Info Technology OR Computer Fundamentals This course is an introduction to cyber security covering topics such as types of cyber-attacks, defense planning, network monitoring, managing network access, and incident response. Students will identify policies and procedures for managing and preventing risks to network security. Students will explore basic cryptography security concepts. Students will learn to recognize and categorize various types of network threats and vulnerabilities. Curriculum uses videos, demonstrations and real-world security simulations. Earn Certification in: CIW Security Associate, ITS Cybersecurity & PMI Project
