Symphonic/AdvancedThere are two levels of orchestra—Advanced Symphonic and Intermediate Philharmonic.Placement is generally based on a combination of instrumentation and performance ability.Both orchestras will perform several times during the year. The Symphonic Orchestra willparticipate in the UlL concern and sight-reading contest. This class is for the serious musicstudent and placement is determined by audition. Students will have additional rehearsalsbefore or after school, usually once a week. Performances may be scheduled in the eveningand on weekends. Attendance at all performances and rehearsals is required. 7427 AA/BBGrade: 7, 8
