Student Council (year)Student Council is a service-based organization. Students use their class time to completeprojects that benefit others at the school, community, city, state, and national levels, whichinclude projects as needed by staff members. We are dedicated to educating people aboutissues such as drugs, health, safety, the environment, and patriotism. We hold fundraisersin order to finance our projects. During the school year, we attend meetings at the districtand state levels. Student members will also be asked to give up some of their own timeafter school hours to complete projects as needed. Members are elected by the studentbody in the spring (for 7th and 8th grade) and the fall (for 6th grade) to serve on the Councilfor the following school year. Student Council members must maintain an acceptableacademic standard as well as an outstanding behavioral record according to theconstitution. 0518 AA/BBGrade: 6, 7, 8
