This advanced capstone course provides theoretical and practical experience in studying physiological concepts as they apply to acute and chronic effects of exercise and injury on athletes. The course explores the biological structure and function of the human body in a system-based approach, with emphasis on the interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels. Primary emphasis is placed on the muscular, skeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory with insight into fitness fatigue and prevention. Use sports technology to collect physiological and psychological data to help drive decision making for athletic performance.
