Southridge High School – Sculpture

In this beginning-level course, students will have the opportunity to work with 3-D sculpture as a medium for creative expression. Throughout the course, we will cover many techniques and materials which may include: wood, mixed media and found objects, metal, stone, and cement. Students will also study the role of sculpture throughout history and in contemporary society. Projects will emphasize technical skills as well as the exploration of conceptually driven projects.
