Southridge High School – Marketing II (Marketing: Business Communications)

Marketing II builds upon the skills that Marketing I introduced. It focuses on using current technology to create, revise, and design business documents: letters, memos, e-mail, reports, minutes, simple instructions, and resumes. There will be an additional focus on market research strategies, sales, advertising, visual merchandising, developing a basic marketing plan, branding, and messaging. Entrepreneurship will be a key piece as students will be expected to write a full business proposal with the idea of bringing their “new product” to market. \[B610X\] Sport and Event Marketing Sport and Event Marketing is an introduction to the intersection of sports, entertainment, business, and society through project management including product development, pricing, licensing, and sponsorship. Throughout the year, students study the elements of event marketing and project management through the development of a comprehensive marketing plan for an event or organization.This class will be responsible for assisting our school in our Cram the Cage events - which will include community sponsors and community outreach.
