South Carroll High – Technological Design

Students in this honors level course apply Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts and skills to solve and innovate engineering designs. Students research, develop, test, and analyze engineering designs using criteria such as design effectiveness, public safety, human factors, and ethics. Emerging Technologies: Design, Research, and Develop; and Universal Design concepts will focus the design learning projects. Additive manufacturing and production technologies will be used to produce product prototypes. This course focuses on career and industry applications of 3D Modeling software.
Prerequisites: This course is the first course of a 3-credit completer. Foundations of Technology is recommended but not required.
