1 credit This course is an elective in the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness – Geographic Information Systems and Technology Program. In this specialization course students receive an overview of common Geospatial Technology applications of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), such as mapping and multi-spectral sensing. Students will be introduced to the content covered in the FAA Remote Pilot Certification Exam.

Prerequisites: Honors Foundations of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (may be taken concurrently). This course is not required for completion of the GIST program.
