South Carroll High – Hospitality and Tourism Work-Based Learning Experience

This course allows students to apply the skills and knowledge acquired from their previous hospitality and tourism management coursework. Students will have the opportunity to correlate theory to practice in a professional hospitality and tourism environment; practice leadership and managerial skills; and experience a variety of roles within a professional facility. Qualified students will earn the Certified Hospitality and Tourism Management Professional (CHTMP) credential.
Prerequisites: Hospitality and Tourism Management. This course is the capstone course in the Hospitality and Tourism Management completer program. Students may either complete an internship at an approved worksite or complete online virtual hotel business simulation under the supervision of the hospitality and tourism management instructor.
