Must be 15 years old by Sept 1 for semester 1 or by February 1 for semester 2; must have parent permission and corrected vision of at least 20/40. Specific content includes instruction within a classroom and laboratory environment in vehicle control and traffic procedures, defensive strategies for driving, natural laws and their application to driving, energy efficient and safe enjoyable vehicle ownership, physical and mental factors, legal and moral obligations, knowledge of motorcycle operations and interactions in the system, planning for safe travel to include map studies, and a comprehensive study of the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving. # HOPE - Physical Education Variation Completing 2 years of marching band or FHSAA sport, or JROTC meet the HOPE graduation requirement. 1 credit Grades 9-12 The concept of this course is to develop and enhance healthy behaviors that influence lifestyle choices and student health and fitness.
