Sickles High School – Muscial Theatre

No pre-requisite classes are required! This course is for those who want to learn both the performance and technical sides of the musical theatre genre. This class will focus on performance training from monologue and scene preparation to solo, duet, and group musical numbers. We will learn proper vocal technique, acting through the voice and the song, and proper use of blocking and direction. The technical side of the class will focus on show preparation, design, and construction. The class focus will be to expand student ownership of current Sickles productions and preparation for external extracurricular events. You will design various props, scenes, and/or other production requirements, then construct your design with the help of your classmates. A great class for those who want both an introduction to theatre and, for the veterans, those who want to expand their performance capabilities. # PEERS AS PARTNERS IN LEARNING
