Prerequisites: Biology Honors with an “A” for both semesters. Chemistry Honors with an A or B and teacher approval. The purpose of this course is to provide a college level course in the biological sciences and to prepare the student to seek credit and/or appropriate placement in college biology courses. The content will include molecular and cellular biology, heredity and evolution, organism biology, and population biology. Specific hands-on, quantitative laboratory activities are course requirements including biotechnology. Students are required to take the AP examination. Up to eight college credits can be earned.
