Sequoyah High School – Statistical Reasoning

This year-long course utilizes the Framework for Statistical Reasoning as a conceptual blueprint for making sense of and considering real-life scenarios. Students engage in statistical modeling by describing variability in data and follow a cyclical problem-solving process involving four components: Ask, Collect, Analyze, and Interpret. The curriculum covers formulating multivariable investigative questions; distinguishing between surveys, experiments, and observational studies; and evaluating the roles of randomization and ethics in data collection.
