Roosevelt High School – Studio Sessions 1-2

Note: this is not a new course--it is the same course as Beginning Guitar. Only the name has changed. Students in this course will learn how to play at least one of these 3 instruments. We will focus on instrument technique, chords, scales, and song form. There is no prerequisite for this course and we encourage beginners through advanced players. Students will learn songs from popular genres of the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s through the current times. Musicians can expect to walk away from this course with the skills to figure out songs of their choice and some song writing skills as well. Singing is encouraged but not required.
