Roosevelt High School – Public Speaking & Debate
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
In this workshop class, students will prepare and present several types of speeches: They will write speeches that inform and persuade, and they will present speeches that interpret great literature. Students will also learn the basics of at least two styles of debates: parliamentary and policy. This class is a wonderful opportunity for students on the speech and debate team to refine and elevate their skills, and it’s also a safe space for students who want to try something new.
