Roosevelt High School – Carpentry/Construction Tech Assistant

This course is designed for students who have successfully completed foundational coursework in carpentry or construction technology and are ready to take on a leadership and support role within the program. As a Carpentry/Construction Tech Assistant, students will serve as teaching assistants, working under the supervision of the instructor to support hands-on instruction, maintain a safe and organized worksite, and mentor peers in basic to advanced construction skills. Students will deepen their technical expertise while gaining experience in project planning, tool and equipment management, site safety protocols, and instructional support. Emphasis will be placed on leadership, communication, and workplace professionalism, preparing students for advanced training, apprenticeships, or immediate entry into the construction industry.Prerequisite: Successful completion of Carpentry/Construction: Adv or teacher approval
