Riggs Elementary – Honors Geometry

Prerequisites: his course is the second year of a standards-based mathematics curriculum emphasizing real-life roblems and applications. Students will examine rigid transformations, prove geometric theorems, imilar and congruent fi gures, parallel and perpendicular lines with transversals, intro to trigonometry, nd properties of circles. This course provides a more rigorous approach to the topics covered in eometry as preparation for AP or IB programs. Students will use the standards for mathematical ractice to engage with the subject matter.
