Students enrolled in Photojournalism communicate in a variety of forms for a variety of audiences and purposes. High school students are expected to plan, interpret, and critique visual representation, carefully examining their product for publication. Students will become analytical consumers of media and technology to enhance their communication skills. High school students will study the laws and ethical considerations that impact photography. Students enrolled in this course will refine and enhance their journalistic skills and plan, prepare, and produce photographs for a journalistic publication, whether print, digital, or online media. ED112 - DEBATE I 1 credits / Full year course / Debate and argumentation are widely used to make decisions and reduce conflict. In Debate I, II, III students will develop skills in argumentation and debate. Students will focus on current issues, develop sound critical thinking, and sharpen their communication skills. This course offers life-long skills for intelligently approaching controversial issues. Participation in debate tournaments may be required. To participate in tournaments, students must maintain a passing average in all other coursework. \*Students who successfully complete the full year of Debate I will fulfill the FBISD speech requirement for graduation. Debate III satisfies the advanced English requirement except for Multidisciplinary Endorsement.
