Ralston Valley Senior High School – Guitar

Guitar introduces students to the fundamentals of music and guitar-playing techniques, such as strumming and chords.<br>Students may enter  this course at any experience level.Students need to supply their own  acoustic guitar. Basic musicianship skills and a focus on reading music  (both traditional notation and tablature) will be stressed in the course.  Students will also be exposed to many different styles of playing including rock, pop, folk and classical. Students will become self-directed  in their study of music and proceed at their own pace. Students will  also be placed in a number of different sized groups during the course  of the semester to get a variety of experiences and challenges. One  performance outside of the school day will be required.
