Ralston Valley Senior High School – On-the-Job Experience

On-the-Job Experience is a semester-long course designed for the student who is already employed or seeking employment in an entry level position. Students enrolled in this course will be expected to maintain continuous employment throughout the duration of the course. Failure to remain employed will result in a withdrawal from the course or failing the course completely. Students can change employers and it is encouraged that the student work with his/her counselor prior to resigning from his/her employer.<br>Students will be required to submit work logs, schedules, employer evaluations and paycheck stubs to verify the paid work experience. Every student will need to complete a minimum of 60 hours of logged work experience to pass the course and earn a .50 CEU. For additional information on this course and any additional expectations, please contact your counselor. Students can be employed during the school day or after school hours or a combination depending on the type of work the student is doing.
