Ponderosa High School – CTE Welding Tech II A - Level 4 (FALL)

Welding Technology II A students will be exposed to more advanced welding processessuch as MIG/GMAW, as well as introduction to TIG welding. In addition, they will havethe opportunity to refine from level 1 to a higher standard. Students will identify weldingsymbols on drawings, read detailed drawings, identify physical characteristics andmechanical properties of metal, explain pre and post heating of metals, identifyequipment and fller metals utilized in GwAM as well as prepare test plates. Throughthe course of the year, the students will have the opportunity to create more advancedwelding projects for the community as well as private individuals.
Prerequisites: CTE Welding Tech I B
