Phoenix Military Academy High School – Advanced Guitar

Advanced Guitar is a two-semester continuing honors credit course that is designed for students who show proficiency on their instrument. Greater emphasis is placed upon performance; thus, students will be expected to participate in various music contests such as solo/ensemble and organization. Students are also expected to audition and perform with other groups and programs such as IMEA, Merit, and others. There is also an emphasis on the understanding of scales, theory, and music notation.
Prerequisites: Audition and instructor’s recommendation is required. Cohort Levels: Honors
