Mandarin Chinese 2-Pre-IB reinforces the fundamental skills acquired by the students in Mandarin Chinese 1-Pre-IB. The course develops increased listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills as well as cultural awareness. Specific content to be covered is a continuation of listening and oral skills acquired in Mandarin Chinese 1-Pre-IB. Reading and writing receive more emphasis, while oral communication remains the primary objective. In addition, the purpose of this Pre-IB course is to prepare students for the IB Mandarin B exam. Paxon's IB Prep program students will cover half of level II and all of level III.
