Pat Dillard Special Achievement Center – Lifetime Fitness and Wellness Pursuits

Cardio/Weight Training is an advanced Physical Education course designed to enhance cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength/endurance through a high level of strenuous, intense physical activity. Cardio endurance is achieved through activities such as running, jumping rope, gassers, shuttle runs, etc. Weight training consists of education on lifting technique, major and minor muscle group lifts, circuit training, etc. Heart rate and body composition as it relates to total fitness will be explored and discussed on an individual basis. Students are required to wear appropriate physical activity attire. A uniform fee is required at LFC. Students may only earn up to one (1.0) credit using any combination of Skill-Based Lifetime Activities listed below.
