Pat Dillard Special Achievement Center – IB Theory of Knowledge (Full IB Diploma Only)

Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is one of the IB Diploma Programme core components. In this course, students reflect on epistemology, the nature of knowledge, and how we claim to know. TOK is a purposeful inquiry into the nature and process of knowing. Through classroom discussions and projects, students gain greater awareness of their personal and ideological assumptions, as well as developing an appreciation of the diversity and richness of cultural perspectives in order to develop international mindedness. The IB TOK assessment is based on an exhibition and an essay. Students will complete their extended essay in TOK.
