Pat Dillard Special Achievement Centerd (Local Credit)

Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester

Students trained to watch for at-risk peers, provide friendship, identify warning signs, and seek help from adults. Hope Squad works with school advisors, administration and counselors to train students identified by their classmates as trustworthy peers to serve as Hope Squad members. Through evidence-based training Hope Squad members are empowered to seek help for their struggling peers. Hope Squad members are educated on how to recognize signs of suicidal ideation, and how to properly and respectfully report this to an adult. Note: Hope Squad is a nomination only course therefore once students are accepted into the program one elective course would be removed to schedule Hope Squad. Participation in the course is mandatory for the whole school year.
