Pat Dillard Special Achievement Center – American Sign Language II

ASL II continues the development of expressive and receptive competence in using American Sign Language to fulfill various social functions. It emphasizes further development of finger spelling, vocabulary building, and grammatical structures. This class encourages more extensive use of non-manual signals, classifiers, body postures, and signing space. Deaf culture is further explored and issues of the deaf community are debated. This class will be taught primarily in ASL.
