Oviedo High School – Personal Financial & Money Management

This course will provide a foundational understanding for making informed personal financial decisions and prepare students to have financial freedom as they move towards independence. Students will learn about their role as a consumer and how to make wise spending, saving and credit decisions as well as make effective use of income to achieve personal financial success. Students will design a budget, demonstrate knowledge of finance, debt, and evaluate insurance and taxes. They will also learn how to be skilled citizens, participating members of a global society, and a contributing force in the business world. This course is a graduation requirement for students in the class of 2027 or 2028 cohort.
