Credit: 1/ Unit This course focuses on the history of ethnic and racial minority groups in the United States of America. Students will have the opportunity to learn about racism, oppression, xenophobia, and ongoing efforts to fight for greater social, economic, and political equity. The writings, rhetoric, and actions of historically oppressed people will be examined and paired with modern perspectives of those who continue to push for greater inclusion, access, and opportunity. This highly interactive course will help students hone skills that are crucial for college and careers.
