North Gwinnett High SchoolOral Communication/Philosophy

Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester

Oral/Written Communication students will exit the course with a broad array of oratorical and written skills that will allow them to engage in a variety of work and academic experiences. Philosophy introduces students to philosophy and its history through topics found in classical philosophical writings, such as the nature of truth and knowledge, mind and body, freedom and determinism, right and wrong, as well as many others. We will also explore how knowledge is formed by the different “ways of knowing” and how those ways are expressed, organized and connected. (See Mr. Weeks Rm 413) (Grades 11-12)
