The AP English Language and Composition course focuses on rhetorical analysis of nonfiction texts and the development and revision of well-reasoned, evidence-centered analytic and argumentative writing. Additionally, students focus on personal writing, including a personal statement for college applications, and preparation for the SAT.

The AP English Literature and Composition course focuses on reading, analyzing, and writing about imaginative literature (fiction, poetry, drama) from various periods. The course is organized to prepare students for success on the AP Lit exam and in college English and composition courses.

Seniors will explore performance texts from classic to contemporary, analyzing in writing and interpreting through original performance.

The primary goal of this course is to support freshman scholars in the development of grammar and writing skills essential for success in high school and college.

English 2 is a class designed to help sophomores increase their proficiency in grammar through reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. The course focus is strictly building grammar skills through mentor texts and group discussion. In writing and discussion, students will manipulate text types and purposes, produce and develop clear, coherent, writing, as well as conduct and gather information from multiple sources.

Juniors will undertake the grammar and writing standards being tested by the SAT, increasing vocabulary and focusing on author intent.

In this course, students will build comprehension through rigorous fiction and nonfiction texts while working on decoding and fluency. The main objective of the course is to increase student lexile scores in order to more easily access other course material.

Seniors will explore performance texts from classic to contemporary, analyzing in writing and interpreting through original performance. Honors students will write a one-act original play as a semester-long, independent project.

This course will develop students' writing skills through their understanding of grammar, syntax, style, and structure. Students will read, imitate, analyze, and evaluate a wide range of text while focusing on broadening their domain knowledge.

This course will support students in their reading, writing, and discussion skills as they analyze American literature.

This course will develop student understanding of basic operations, number concepts and properties, expressions, equations, inequalities, functions, graphical representations, probability, statistics, data analysis, and polynomials.

With a chance to earn college credit, students in AP Calculus will explore functions, graphs, limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Students will become familiar with concepts expressed graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally and use technology to help solve problems, experiment, interpret results, and support conclusions. Students should expect to complete at least 30 minutes of homework each night.
