Mill Creek High School – Personal Fitness & Health

Both of these courses are required for graduation. Personal Fitness is a half-semester fitness-based class focusing on the health-related fitness components and how to incorporate them into the students' daily lives both now and as they age. This is an activity class that requires dressing appropriately for participation every day. Health is a half-semester course that covers knowledge and skills necessary for personal health and wellbeing and the prevention and treatment of injury. Additional information covered includes disease prevention, relationships, Internet safety, consumer health, the life cycle, and preventing abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs, as well as state-mandated CPR/AED instruction. Students will also complete the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program (ADAP) seminar.
