This performance-based course is designed for instrumental music students who demonstrate higher levels of proficiency and interests in learning and performing in additional instrumental ensembles. This ensemble consist of different instrumentation from their current band or orchestra course and support students to perform on a secondary instrument. Instrumental ensemble requires extracurricular components, including after school and weekend activities. Requires director approval. Concurrent enrollment in Band or Orchestra. 7505VIR - Art Appreciation A (Virtual 1.0 credits / Full year course / Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12 Art Appreciation allows students to develop a greater sensitivity to the visual world, its formal order and overall unity. Students develop an art vocabulary as well as skills to graphically express their own ideas and attitudes. This course must be completed during the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Students are scheduled in after-school periods to complete the asynchronous course. There is a fee assigned to this course. Fees for tuition based virtual courses will be attached to the course, and fees will be paid through Pay N’ Go. Art appreciation does not satisfy the prerequisite for all Art II, Art III, and Art IV Ceramics, Drawing, Painting and Sculpture courses.
