Mayde Creek High School – Personal Financial Literacy (ELECT)

This one-semester elective course is designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills to make sound, informed financial decisions that will allow them to become financially responsible. The course will teach students to apply critical-thinking and problemsolving skills to analyze decisions involving earning and spending, saving and investing, credit and borrowing, insuring and protecting, and college and post-secondary education and training. This course does not fulfill the Economics graduation requirement. A student cannot receive credit for this course and the Personal Financial Literacy and Economics course. This course is not recognized by NCAA as an approved core course. (1/2024)
