Mayde Creek High School – Film II – Pract of A/V Production - Dual Credit

Film II students receive advanced instruction in the operation of different types of cameras, mastery of media graphics, electronic editing, color correction, audio, techniques, lighting, script writing, direction, production, special effects, signal control and monitoring equipment, as well as set design and safety. Students in the MCTC digital audio and film course have the opportunity to train, and if successful, to work as a member of the Live Action Media Broadcast System (LAMBS) crew which operates the video board at Katy ISD Stadiums. Students apply to be part of the crew for each football game to the five live-action cameras and control functions such as instant replay, commercials, splash video graphics, or serve as Technical Director. Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications OR Digital Communications in the 21st Century OR Audio/Video Production I, Film I-Advanced Audio/Video Production REQUIRED: MCTC Course Request Application - HCC admission requirements; TSI requirement; and MCTC Course Request Application. Selecting this course for planning purposes does not guarantee enrollment into the course.
